Time for Tales Interactive stories - From FS through
to KS3
Our time for tales options are much more than children listening to
a story...pupils take roles in our tales, listening carefully for their specific cue and responding physically or orally.
KS1 We have a range of story options available...We have a lovely programme for FS and KS1. Fabulous
bright picture stories delivered with energy. Children have the opportunity to join in with the theme through dance and motion,
sharing their experiences as part of the assembly format, great fun, bright happy faces.
KS2 Romeo & Juliet, Robin Hood, Gladiator, St
George
To start: We like to begin with a short group discussion, gaining an understanding
of the pupils thoughts, knowledge and experiences relating to the choice of tale.
Set format option:
1/ We
work with groups throughout the day with a set story format. Each group is responsible for delivering one particular part
of the tale which could be physical movements or speech. We tie the pupils learning in collectively at the end of the day
with a hosted performance assembly, telling the tale whilst the pupils perform their part following their specific cue.
Pupils
decide option:
2/ With various groups throughout the day we lay
the foundations of the tale through a specific scenario based upon your choice of theme...the pupils then share ideas as to
what happens next, creating the tale and then appropriate actions, deciding their own cues. The work of the groups is pulled
together to create one tale in a performance assembly.
Absorbing and inspiring throughout delivered
with huge enthusiasm and imagination. There is excellent opportunity to combine this with a Sorcerers of Sound option...
